REPORT ON DUTY OF IMPLEMENTATION OF SHARIA SUPERVISORY BOARD
The Sharia Supervisory Board has supervised the implementation of the basic principles of implementing insurance/reinsurance business based on sharia principles carried out by Sharia Business Unit of PT Asuransi Bintang Tbk during 2022, as mandated in Article 16 of the Regulation of the Minister of Finance Number 18/PMK.010/2010 concerning the Implementation of Basic Principles for the Implementation of Insurance Business and Reinsurance Business based on Sharia Principles. In carrying out such supervision, the Sharia Supervisory Board conducts an assessment of the Company’s operations which includes aspects of management of wealth and liabilities, aspects of marketed products, aspects of the marketing practices carried out by the Company and other operational activities.
The supervision reveals there were no operational practices that violated sharia principles.
Thus, based on the evaluation of the aspects in the paragraph above, the implementation of these aspects by the Company is in accordance with the sharia principles.
LAPORAN PELAKSANAAN TUGAS DEWAN PENGAWAS SYARIAH
Dewan Pengawas Syariah telah melakukan Pengawasan terhadap penerapan prinsip-prinsip dasar penyelenggaraan usaha asuransi/usaha reasuransi dengan prinsip syariah yang dilakukan oleh Unit Usaha Syariah PT Asuransi Bintang Tbk selama tahun 2022, sebagaimana diamanatkan pada pasal 16 Peraturan Menteri Keuangan Nomor 18/PMK.010/2010 tentang Penerapan Prinsip Dasar Penyelenggaraan Usaha Asuransi dan Usaha Reasuransi dengan Prinsip Syariah. Dalam rangka melakukan pengawasan tersebut, Dewan Pengawas Syariah melaksanakan penilaian atas operasional Perusahaan yang meliputi aspek pengelolaan kekayaan dan kewajiban, serta kegiatan operasional lainnya. Sehubungan dengan telah diterima nya surat permohonan pengembalian izin unit usaha syariah PT Asuransi Bintang, Tbk oleh OJK maka DPS juga ikut berperan serta dalam hal memberikan saran serta masukan untuk proses pengalihan portfolio.
Dari hasil pengawasan, tidak ditemukan adanya praktik operasional yang melanggar prinsip- prinsip syariah Islam.
Dengan demikian, berdasarkan hasil penilaian atas aspek-aspek pada paragraf di atas, pelaksanaan hal- hal tersebut oleh Perusahaan telah sesuai dengan prinsip-prinsip syariah Islam.
